First Day of School & a Me Gift

Thursday was back to school for my girlies!

first day of school

Cannot believe how old they are now.  I know I say that every year, but seriously.  Wow.

After I got them both on their buses, I went for a run.

My run took me through three different subdivisions.  I haven’t been through a couple of them since before I broke my ankle.  The streets department had done a lot of work on the corners and something else I noticed…

They had shaved the uneven parts of the sidewalks to make them more level!  How neat is that?  I had never seen that done before.  I hope this means less tripping for me and others!

A quick shower later, I grabbed my smoothie (banana, spinach, PB2, dark chocolate almond milk, ice) and iced coffee (Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend & Italian sweet creme creamer) to get some errands done.  I needed fuel y’all!

I really wanted to take my water bottle with me, also, but thought three drinks might be a bit much.

And then I headed downtown to do a little shopping.

I wasn’t shopping for anything in particular, but ended up finding a great deal on nice, heavy wrapping paper.

Think I’m ready for the holidays!

And then I stopped at my favorite running store to pick up a little certain something for myself…

Saucony Ride 6 in Citron!  So gorgeous!  I ended up having to order them a half-size larger than I usually wear in other brands.  I had ordered them on Saturday and got the call on Tuesday that they were in.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to pick them up until Thursday.  They were worth the wait!
