Lots of variety in my workouts this week, but now that I see it all written out, I notice some things I should have included at some point.
- Friday – yoga class
- Saturday – (unintentional) rest day
- Sunday – rest day
- Monday – treadmill run
- Tuesday – lower body workout at home
- Wednesday – treadmill run
(Sassy’s home and hit the gym with me!)
- Thursday – Pilates class with my girls!
No trail runs again this week. It’s been raining off and on all week again. We, of course, are grateful for the rain, but it’s forcing me to run on the treadmill more than I would care to. I also see I didn’t get any specific upper body workouts. Need to do that this week for sure!
I’m currently in week 5 of the Couch to 5K program. At this point, my running intervals are about 8 minutes each. My ankle seems to be handling it just fine!
In other exciting news, I went shopping for new running shoes yesterday! I tried on a few different brands to see if I wanted to vary from my usual Asics Cumulus.
I really liked the feel of the Saucony Rider!
But I am so scared to try a new shoe. My Cumulus work for me. I have worn them since I started running and have had no issues or pain with them. So do I stick with what works? Or do I try something new that could be even better for me? Decisions, decisions.
I also picked up a new-to-me Nuun flavor!
