Did you know this Thursday is Miracle Treat Day?
On Thursday August 8th, 2013, $1 or more* from every Blizzard®Treat purchased at participating DQ® stores will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
In addition to that, for the second year in a row, your Facebook RSVP to Miracle Treat Day will also be matched with a $1 donation to the cause—up to $50,000.
You can also sign up for a reminder by texting “Miracle” to 41411.
Love this idea! So head to your nearest participating DQ, treat yourself and help kids, too!

Saturday after work, we went to lunch, followed by shopping at a local shopping/entertainment/restaurant distinct. I took several pictures because the area reminds me so much of the downtown area of my previous town. And then I promptly, accidentally deleted most of them. Blogger fail.
This area is positioned around a “town center,” that includes a stage, lawn and a fountain area kids can play in.
Lunch was great, but so filling! We went to an Italian restaurant where I had a veggie frittata and side salad. And of course, fresh, warm bread with oil and vinegar. I took pictures, but they were part of the deleted group. Oops.
By the time dinner rolled around, we were still out shopping and not hungry yet. Once we finally wrapped up the shopping part of our day, we were ready for dessert. Froyo!
My froyo before toppings… (cookies & creme, thin mint cookie, red velvet, birthday cake batter, and cheesecake).
This is a new flavor-record for me! I usually only get three or four different flavors. Ah, to dare to dream! 😉
Then came the toppings! Raspberry cups, pecans, cheesecake, snow caps, chocolate-covered banana chips, and Heath bar for me.
So good, minus the chocolate-covered banana chips. Those will not be making another appearance on my froyo.
What’s your favorite DQ Blizzard? Turtle Pecan Cluster!
Do you keep your froyo cup simple or try a variety of flavors? Mix it up, baby!
