Yesterday was a glorious day! I ran for the first time since I broke my ankle on a trail run in March. I ran and it was awesome!! I played it safe and ran inside just in case things didn’t go well.
And okay, maybe I didn’t run so far. I have limits suggested by my doctor. I’m working on building up my ankle endurance by doing the Couch-to-5K program. But I am okay with that. Sweaty and happy!
Yes, I always get a lovely bright red face when I run &/or get hot. And this is a good 15 minutes after my run. I had already done my cool-down at the gym and drove home. Lovely.
The not so fun part, besides my red face? This horrible brace. It is so thick. And I have to make it so tight, just to even tie it. Only 60 more days until I can stop wearing it!
Okie says hi. He loves being where the action is.
The brace also made some great impressions on my foot. But no chafing, thank goodness.
The skin impressions make my surgery scar almost invisible. Almost.
What was the highlight of your weekend?
