I found an article yesterday I thought I would share with you. It contained 10 tips to boosting your metabolism. Bring it on!
1. Keep daily calories above 1,200.
If we don’t eat enough, our body starts store fat to get what it needs. Not good.
2. Pump iron.
I just recently started doing this one. I can’t wait to get back to it!
3. Keep moving.
Sitting all day is literally killing us in this country. It really has become an epidemic.
4. Eat Seaweed.
I don’t know if I can do this one. My youngest daughter, Sassy, loves dried seaweed. I’m not really a fan. I guess I should explore some other seaweed options…
5. Dress salads with vinaigrette.
Bingo! Love vinaigrettes! And now knowing it is good for me? Fantastic!
6. Go fish.
I don’t eat fish or take fish oils because I am a vegetarian. I did however take a vegetarian DHA supplement. My esthetician also noticed a huge improvement in my skin once I started taking this supplement!
7. Change up your caloric intake.
I imagine this is like muscle confusion. Like how we try to change up our workouts so our body doesn’t get used to the same thing constantly. It’s good to keep our body guessing!
8. Get more dairy.
More smoothies and Greek yogurt? Well, if you insist!
9. Eat more watermelon.
I know someone who will be very happy to hear that!
10. Opt for organic.
It’s believed some preservatives can affect metabolism and how our body produces fat cells. Good lord! My body does not need outside influences helping it make more fat! It does enough of that on its own, thank you very much.
