It feels like everyday lately has been dedicating to doing something Christmas related. Not that I am complaining
again! Here are some photos from the last couple of weeks, in no particular order obviously.
Thursday my mom and I had a little more shopping to do. We went to a mall with this humongous indoor Christmas tree.
I made sure to take the photo while someone was on the escalator for size comparison. See her in the lower right corner? Told you, huge tree! It hangs from the ceiling and is even more gorgeous in person.
Next we headed to the same entertainment/shopping district we had been to the weekend before for OMG Becky’s birthday evening out. My mom wanted to eat dinner, not just cheesecake, at The Cheesecake Factory. I had no idea she had never eaten anything except dessert there before! Not, that I really needed much convincing to eat there. Yum!
Instead of a three-hour wait for a table, it was just 30 minutes. While we waited, I wanted to check out the activewear I had spied at Forever 21. I ended up with a cute pair of capri running pants. Photo to come soon!
Then our pager went off and it was time to eat!
We started with the avocado eggrolls. So good! Of course, we had eaten half of them before I took a picture. Just my usual photography skills on display.
Avocado, Sun-Dried Tomato, Red Onion and Cilantro Fried in a Crisp Wrapper. Served with a Tamarind-Cashew Dipping Sauce.
And two kinds of bread. Yes, please!
I didn’t even try the white bread. Give me the dark stuff! I may have eaten half of that all by myself…
For my entrée, I order the Chicken Piccata, minus the chicken. I always order this dish because it is that good! No need to try something new when you already know what you love. You can see this is a very generous amount of food. I had halved it to take home before remembering to take a photo for you.
Sautéed Chicken Breast with Lemon Sauce, Mushrooms and Capers. Served with Angel Hair Pasta.
My niece, Myo, had a Christmas concert a couple of weekends ago. This reminds me I need to put together a family page. My family is kind of large and it may make it easier to keep track of everyone and their
They sang three very lovely Christmas songs as part of a holiday concert to raise money for local charities. Aren’t Christmas concerts the best?
Sassy had one, too.
She is on the front row because as she put it, she’s a shorty. She always looks tall when she is alone. Then you put her next to some kids her age, you realize that’s not really the case. I think her long limbs just give the illusion of height. It’s okay, I’m pretty sure she is going to outgrow me in the next couple of years. Until then, I can enjoy my baby being a bit smaller.
Me at said concert showing you how to give yourself a double chin. It’s really easy. Just push your head all the way back, smile so big it hurts your face making veins pop in your neck and take the photo from a low angle.
I was trying to show you how packed the concert was. Standing room only, but we had arrived super early and scored seats on the front row. Of course, that lead to me having to entertain myself. Not always a good thing. OMG Becky was ready to trade seats with anyone else in the gymnasium. Preferably as far away from me as possible.
The holiday view from a little stretching session.
Sassy met a tall, handsome man in uniform.
She loves a good ‘stache and I am not even joking. I should probably keep an eye on that girl.
And last, but not least, another cute coffee mug.
This one was at Sears, if you’re interested.
