25 Days of Blogging Christmas Challenge

This is happening thanks to Peanut Butter Jenny!  And I am a day late and a dollar short.  As usual.

25 days of blogging Christmas challenge

But we are going to jump in anyway and just play catch up.

1.  Favorite Christmas Movie

It’s hard to pick just one!

I love National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.  It’s vulgar, yes.  But it also exploits everything that is wrong with the Christmas season to the extreme.  And then shows all the good parts, too.  Love it!

And then there is Elf!  The magic of the holiday as seen through the eyes of a man-child.

2.  My Christmas List

Done!  Guess I’m not as far behind as I thought I was.

3.  When/how did you learn that Santa wasn’t real?

WHAT?!  I refuse to partake in such blasphemy!

4.  Favorite Christmas Song

5.  Best gift I ever received

My daughter!

OMG Becky, Christmas shopping 2006

OMG Becky was born a few days before Christmas.  Santa came to visit all the babies on Christmas Eve.  On Christmas Day, all of the babies were put in Christmas stockings in the nursery.  And we came home that afternoon.  Best Christmas gift ever!

6.  Favorite tree ornament

I have a few hand-beaded ornaments my deceased bio-mom made maybe 30 years ago.  They are beautiful and very sentimental to me.  I don’t hang them on the tree for fear of them falling off and breaking.  I usually display them in a glass vase.

7.  Most memorable Christmas.

Christmas 2007.  Sassy really, really, really wanted a kitten for Christmas.

She could not have been happier!  Her kitten, Okie, is now five years old and a pretty cool cat.

8.  Post a picture of Christmas decor.

Do you see the two stockings behind OMG Becky’s head?  They are stockings I have had since I was a little girl.

They bring back so many Christmas memories for me!

9.  Easiest person to buy for.

Hands down, it’s Sassy.  She is always pretty easy-going.

Even if she hadn’t gotten a kitten the year she wanted one, she would have been happy with whatever she received.

10.  Favorite holiday scent.

Everything this season should be made with peppermint.  Ice cream, coffee, cookies, cheesecake…
