Social Dieting & Hill Songs

This post is going to be all over the place.  You have been warned.

Last week I saw a post on Run, Eat, Repeat that she had joined a competition on DietBet organized by SarahFit.  I had to find out more!  Long and short of it, bet $15, lose 4% of your body weight in 4 weeks, get your initial $15 back, plus split any winnings from people who didn’t make their goal.  So I signed up, along with 250+ others!  Our pot is over $4000 now!  We are only required to weigh in at the beginning and the end of the competition.  It looks like most people are weighing in weekly and/or more often.  I haven’t weighed since the first weigh in.  I think I’m going to just wait and weigh in at the end.

Leo, my little domestic helper.

He’s helping me make the bed.  Just the kind of “help” I need!

I recently read Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares.  Welcome to the Late Party!  In my defence, I have seen the movie a few times, just never read the book.  And only read it now because I was in between books and needed something to read that day.  But I loved the quotes sprinkled between the chapters!  This one was my favorite.

Today’s breakfast went a little south of the border.

Toasted nuts & seeds bread, cream cheese, avocado, fried egg, salsa and sour cream.  How pretty is that food rainbow?!

This is currently my favorite song for running hills.

What songs do you like for hill workouts?

Do you weigh on a regular basis?

Huh! Never heard of that social dieting thing, sounds interesting! Doing Tina’s bootcamp is also really helping me stay accountable. I want that $1000 prize! I love Moby & that sammich looks SO good. They don’t sell yummy salsa around here, AT ALL. And I am too lazy to make it myself.

No yummy salsa?! I die. I usually get the Mango Pineapple salsa at Costco. But this last time I was in a hurry and no where near Costco. So that salsa is actually from Safeway Select line. It’s Pineapple-Peach salsa. Target also carries their own line of it. Archer Farms maybe? Girl, get you some good salsa!
I knew Tina had a bootcamp but have never really looked into it. Think I need to!
