Cook in the Making

Because I don’t.  I don’t cook and I really am okay with that.  I have never been one want to try every new recipe I find.  Occasionally there is one that I love in print, but it usually goes in my list of bookmarks and ends there.

And when I do attempt to cook, my kitchen ends up looking like this.

Okay, so maybe not that bad.  But I definitely feel like that woman looks.  Defeated.  My main issue with cooking?  I get distracted.  I don’t have the time or the patience for it.  That is the part I want to change.  Don’t get me wrong, I have no desire to be Susie Homemaker.

That’s never gonna happen.  Delusional I am not.  Most of the time anyway…

But I am going to challenge myself in the kitchen.  I am going to try a new recipe each week.  It may be a disaster and therefore blog gold.  But good or bad, I will keep you updated on my cooking adventures.

Wish me luck!  I’m off to add the local fire department and hospital to speed dial on my phone.

Do you like to cook?

Are you very good at it?

Any words of advice for me?

so true.. btw, I HATE cooking… or rather…despise! So nice to meet another woman who doesn’t seem to dote over the kitchen like everyone else… it makes me feel… less guilty!! hehe 🙂

    Enjoyed the blog post…thanks!

You are welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. I think the cooking gene skipped a generation. Mom = fad cook. My older daughter loves it, too. So it all works out. And obviously, I’m not starving to death. 🙂
