Afternoon Coffee = Sleep Killer

Yesterday I was bad.

I stopped for a coffee on my way home from work.  First time this week, but I should have passed on the temptation.  But I didn’t.  I stopped and ordered a decaf 16 oz. iced coffee.  Notice the word decaf, in there.  I wish the barista had!  I realized around 11:00 PM my coffee most certainly was NOT decaf.  Ugh.  Talk about a long night.  I seriously was awake most of it.  I got at the most, 1.5 hours of broken sleep.  And lucky me, for the first time in a long time, I had to get up at 5:30 AM.


Today has been one of the longest days I can remember and it’s barely half over.  I’m pretty sure I will be asleep by 9:00 PM tonight.  What an awesome start to my weekend!

    Ugh how awful! It’s terrible that one mistake by your barista can ruin a whole night’s worth of sleep! I know how hard it can be to pass on the temptation for afternoon coffee 🙂

      You would think I would learn, but no! I almost stopped for coffee again yesterday afternoon. I had to totally talk myself out of it! When will my cravings cease?!
