Yesterday was a great day to be outside. So I was! It was already in the 50’s by 9:00 AM. I had to be a part of that!
I decided it would be a good time to get back into running outside. Sadly, I have been pretty lazy on the running front lately. I talked my younger daughter into running it with me.
Since it had been awhile since my last run, I thought it might be a good idea to start with the Couch 2 5K program again. I wasn’t sure where I might be on the program at this point. How would I know how long to run? How long to walk? I like organization. Can you tell? And then this happened…
Worked out well, but I really only needed the first line. Return to running? Barely. Oh well, we all have to start somewhere, right?
We enjoyed a 7-minute warm up, jogged 8 minutes, walked 12 minutes and a 7-minute cool down. After that we headed back home to hit the showers and grab breakfast. Then it was back outside to walk around for errands. We hit the hardware, post office, salon and grocery store.
We live in a small town of maybe 12,000. Last spring we moved just a few blocks from the main downtown area. We love the close proximity!
